Construction Before & After in Woodland Hills, CA
Anyone can talk about craftsmanship. Seeing it is different. The photos below aren’t staged marketing shots – they’re real jobs from real houses around Woodland Hills, Winnetka, and Tarzana. Some were planned remodels, others started as “we noticed a crack” phone calls. Every one ended the same way: a written price agreed on before we touched a wall, photo updates while the work was happening, and a finished space the homeowner actually wanted.

Bathroom Gut Remodel on a Slab Foundation
Before
AfterThe problem: a 1980s bathroom in the Woodland Hills foothills where the slab made moving drains expensive, so the original layout had to stay. We kept the toilet and vanity locations, then rebuilt everything above the floor. The fiberglass shower insert came out, a mud-bed pan went in, and we waterproofed the whole wet zone before a single tile was set. Cambria quartz on the vanity, Kohler fixtures, and a shower niche framed so the tile pattern lands clean. The result looks like a custom build, not a workaround.
Load-Bearing Wall Removal for an Open Kitchen
Before
AfterThe problem: a galley kitchen that closed off the entire first floor. The wall between it and the living room was load-bearing, which some homeowners treat as a suggestion and others treat as a reason to panic. Neither is right. We engineered the beam, pulled permits, and cut the opening in one day with temporary shoring in place. The flush beam meant no awkward drop-down header breaking the ceiling line. KraftMaid cabinets, a Caesarstone island, and suddenly the house flows the way it should have on day one.
Primary Suite Addition with Vaulted Ceiling
Before
AfterThe problem: a three-bedroom house where the owners needed a fourth and didn’t want to move. The side yard sat empty except for a dying orange tree. We permitted the addition, matched the roofline so it doesn’t look grafted on, and vaulted the ceiling for volume without heating useless square footage. James Hardie plank siding on the exterior, GAF shingles tied into the existing roof, and a window placement that catches the afternoon light. The surprise for most people: the foundation work only took four days.
Water-Damage Repair Turned Full Bathroom Refresh

The problem started as a soft spot in the hallway carpet outside a second-floor bathroom. The shower pan had been leaking for months before anyone noticed, and once we pulled the tile, the subfloor told the whole story. In Woodland Hills, we see this pattern often enough that it’s one of the first things we check on any bathroom quote. We replaced the rotted framing, sistered the joists, and rebuilt the shower with a full waterproofing membrane that carries a manufacturer warranty. While we were in there, the homeowners upgraded to a Silestone vanity, Moen fixtures, and a frameless glass door. Same footprint, entirely new room.
Whole-Home Renovation After an Estate Purchase

Buying an estate property in Woodland Hills often means inheriting someone else’s sixty-year maintenance backlog. This one had original wiring, single-pane aluminum windows, and a kitchen that predated microwave ovens. We scoped the full renovation in phases so the owners could move through the house while we worked. New electrical panel and copper plumbing first, then insulation, drywall, and finally the visible work: Wellborn cabinetry, Grohe fixtures, engineered hardwood, and a reworked floor plan that turned a formal dining room nobody used into a home office. The unglamorous stuff behind the drywall matters more than the finishes, and both are backed in writing.
Garage Conversion to a Legal ADU

Woodland Hills has its own nuances with ADU conversions, and the permitting conversation is where most projects stall before they start. The garage on this property had good bones but no insulation, a slab that sloped toward the alley, and exactly zero plumbing. We leveled a section of slab, trenched for water and sewer, and framed out a 430-square-foot living space with a kitchenette, three-quarter bath, and its own address. The owner’s parents moved in six months later. That’s the point of these projects, and it’s why the Council of Governments-adjacent paperwork matters.
